Assistant Accountant

An established firm of Chartered Accountants are looking to hire an experienced Assistant Accountant (Semi-Senior Accountant) for their Sheffield office.

Working as part of a small team you will take responsibility for a small portfolio of clients, a mixture of limited companies and sole traders. You will cover all of those clients' needs, with key duties including:

*Accounts preparation (annual / statutory)
*Bookkeeping on Sage 50
*Management accounts reports
*Payroll (Iris Payroll)
*VAT returns
*Self Assessment tax returns

As this is a small office, you will need to be a real team player, capable of managing their own workload but also happy to helping out other staff as necessary. You should be an experienced accountant at a semi-senior level, able to put together a set of accounts to review stage without supervision, and ideally you will also be familiar with Sage or Iris accounting software.
