This Widnes based manufacturing site are a market leader within its specialism, and are owned by a well-established US owned group, this site are currently performing over budget for 2016/2017 and growth plans are in line for development in 2017. Client Details

This Site Accountant opportunity is a number 1 level role with full financial reporting responsibility for 2 of the top performing North West based manufacturing site's, the opportunity will have a direct assistant accountant report and a direct line to the UK FD

This opportunity is a challenging and exciting role and will work alongside 3 other site accountants for the neighbouring manufacturing locations, this role will have travel expectations (approx 3 to 4 days per month, UK and Europe based)

This opportunity can offer a fast track on your career and will offer support to qualify within 6-18 months, offering further opportunities to support US finance in the growth of the UK arm.

Description

This Site Accountant role is a well-rounded commercial position to lead a profitable site in the North West and will include the below responsibilities;

*To ensure complete and timely reporting submissions for all local compliance such as VAT/Intrastat/EC Sales list and to provide support to the completion of the annual statutory accounts, tax and audit in Europe.

*To lead the timely production of financial results by ensuring timely and accurate entry of financial information into SAP to assist the management team with the decision-making process.

*To manage own time to meet the priorities for the month which will be aligned to the achievement of business goals and objectives and suggest areas of process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce operational cost.

*To lead month end close and reporting for the site.

*Cost variance analysis, Misc GL postings. Accruals/Prepayments.

*Preparing management accounts and owner of all Balance Sheet Reconciliations.

*Supporting the annual audit and year-end tax reporting for the site and supporting the completion of annual statutory accounts and corporation tax returns submission.

*Prepare the annual operating plan for all the site.

*Supporting annual standard costing / transfer pricing reviews.

*Manage inventory provisioning and stock counts.

*General financial and management accounting support to European Finance Team and provide ad-hoc support to the European Finance Director

*Deputise for other Site Accountants during periods of absence.

*Potential travel to other UK and European sites.

Profile

This Site Accountant role will require a senior level of experience ideally familiar with manufacturing processes and accounting, this role will require an individual to work to tight deadlines, US reporting and stepping up to controller level for your locations.

Must have

*Strong SAP accountancy skills -used for all US reporting

*Excellent Microsoft Excel

*Excellent verbal and written communications skills in order to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.

*Ability to manage transition and change

*Ability to work to tight deadlines and monthly closures.

*Ability to organise work effectively and efficiently.

*Ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks.

*Ability to focus on clear goals and deliverables - and ensuring deliverables are met.

*Effective team player and self-starter.
