Group Accountant

Our client, a leading global technology and media company are in the market for a Group Accounting and Reporting Analyst to join the growing team and business. Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Director you will be responsible for a range of responsibilities.

You be responsible for preparation of the UK entity financial statements and associated tax calculations. Take the lead in preparing the quarterly financial reporting package and commentary. Provide technical advice to wider business finance and management accounting team. Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of all UK entity financial statements under IFRS and coordinating with auditors on signing
• Impairment assessments of investments in UK entities
• Be the primary point of technical expertise to the rest of the finance team, coordinating with technical experts, and ensure our local accounting manual and policies are clear and up to date
• Provide support to management accounts team to ensure a smooth close of results in group consolidation system
• Provide support to auditors during year-end and quarterly audits
• Preparation of Quarter/Full Year Financial Reporting Package for Group
• Support the FP&A and shared service team on Ad hoc projects

Ideally you will be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience of statutory account filing, Strong technical accounting (IFRS)/tax knowledge, Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to partner and influence along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
