Financial Compliance Manager

Sharp Consultancy is currently recruiting on behalf of one of the most successful businesses within the Sheffield area for a financial compliance manager. You will report directly into the group CFO and you will be responsible for the regulatory governance and capital strategy within the group.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, ideally with exposure to financial services or banking. Your time will be split between home working, and the office network, including London and Sheffield offices to offer consultancy services to senior stakeholders within key financial services clients.
Your responsibilities will include;

oHands on knowledge in all aspects of capital (including theory, modelling, ICAAP, regulation, BASEL and horizon risks).
oAccountancy qualification (preferably CIMA).
oUnderstanding of a finance environment preferably with an established banking background. Knowledge and understanding of both Commercial and Retail products and regulatory balance sheet configurations and treatment is advantageous.
oUnderstanding of CRR with a proven record in accounting policy and steering committee decision making.
oRegulatory understanding with a view of interpretation of future changes.
oA confident, strategic thinker. With excellent verbal and written communication skills.
oHighly personable, helpful and sincere. Able to build and maintain relationships.
oCommercially astute.
oSelf-motivated individual, happy to work as part of a small team to meet tight deadlines.
