The Financial Controller is a new position for a growing business in Winchester.
The Financial Controller will be instrumental in transforming the finance function and will hold overall responsibility for transaction processing, producing management and statutory financial statements, accounts management and development of the accounting processes and internal controls.
Key deliverables and projects the Financial Controller will take the lead on are:
Lead on the transformation of the accounting processes, internal controls and procurement, expense and payroll processes to meet commercial practice.
Analyse existing expense processes, identify staff, system and control needs, develop and then implement new expense process for all staff
Review payroll process, identify needs and requirements, develop and implement payroll process to replace existing payroll solution,
Establish clear expense guidelines for all staff, update existing policies and authorisation procedures in respect of expenses, and implement and monitor guidelines and policy,
The position is offered on a full time or part-time basis.
To be considered for the position your experience will include:
Fully qualified Accountant ( ACA,ACCA or CIMA equivalent)
Significant experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a multi-site retail environment
Understanding of financial controls and related processes, and the practical application and management of such controls
Demonstrable and extensive experience producing management and statutory financial statements.
The successful applicant may look to work full time or 3 to 4 days per week part time on a pro rata basis.
