Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be working with a market leading Distribution organisation based in West Yorkshire who are looking to appoint a commercially focused Financial Controller.
The successful Financial Controller will take on a varied and interesting senior finance role which splits its time between managing the day to day running of the finance function and working closely with the Finance Director and Managing Director in supplying commercial reporting and analysis. As such it is essential that all applicants have post-qualification financial management experience and can demonstrate examples where they have provided insightful and informative financial analysis to support commercial decision making.
You will be a personable qualified accountant with a passion for being involved in the wider business, driving the company forward and improving the processes and systems within. As a result they are open to considering both experienced Financial Controllers and Managers who are ambitious and are looking to take the next step in their career as long as you have the gravitas and knowledge to be involved in the commercial and operational decision making which will shape the path the business takes over the next few years.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Management and development of a team of five
*Review of monthly management accounts
*Develop internal relationships across the company and encourage business partnering with non-financial management.
*Work with the Finance Director on the production of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting
*Assist the Finance Director in the financial and due diligence of acquisitions
*Deliver business plans and initiatives
*Production on financial business models
*Look to improve and develop the current financial systems and processes
Elevation Accountancy & Finance would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:
*Recent relevant experience in one of the following market sectors - Distribution, Manufacturing or Inventory/Stock based
*Experience of managing a finance function
*Proven production and consolidation of monthly management accounts
*Production of annual budgets and Forecasts
*Managing the working capital
*Excellent IT skills, producing ad-hoc reports on Excel
*CIMA / ACCA / ACA Qualified
