A leading Commercial Company based in West London are due to be recruiting for a fluent German speaking Billing Accountant EMEA (part qualified) on a permanent basis very shortly. The ideal candidate will be a part Qualified Accountant or hold an equivalent European Qualification. You will also possess an excellent knowledge of JDE.
Key Responsibilities include -
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies relevant to areas of responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with established internal & key internal controls for areas of responsibility and compliance to SOX requirements
- Accurately and timely process invoicing of Product, Consulting, Maintenance and Education revenue streams after execution of contract through JDE
- Process all approved credit memos in compliance with SOX and Internal controls
- Update Deferred Education report and prepare adjusting entries to recognize revenue
- Assist in implementation and systems improvements to Worldwide Billing System (JDE)
- Support compliance with SOX key controls for billing
- Support the quarterly and annual SOX audits and financial statement audits with respect to billing and sales order processing
Person Specification:
- Will look at Part Qualified or Finalist ACCA / CIMA or equivalent in Europe.
- 5+ years experience in billing department
- European language skills (French, Spanish, German or Italian) preferred
- Desire to continually increase the use of technology to enhance order processing, billing efficiency and accuracy
- Experience in multinational billing operations must be complemented by a good understanding of how billing works
- Basic understanding of revenue recognition principles
- Detail oriented and strong documentation skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Strong communication skills

- Appropriate handling of confidential information
- Required Computer skills: proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Accounting Software packages such as JD Edwards
