An SME growing healthcare business is looking to recruit an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified candidate to lead its finance function.

As Management Accountant, you will support and drive the financial and operational performance to make it more efficient and effective in delivering its financial and commercial goals in line with budgets, multi-year plans and strategic goals that you will have taken an active role in developing with the Board, Managers and staff. As such, you will take the lead in developing and maintaining appropriate financial policies and direction, financial administration, business planning and financial information and recommendations for commercial decision-making.

Main duties include:

oManage the drivers of the business's profit and service quality
oSupport Board and Managers to develop and deliver successful business proposals, including starting new services and investment in assets
oOwn and manage budget, cost improvement, multi-year planning and performance review
oLead for tax planning
oMaintain streamlined administrative/financial systems and controls, including financial accounting and consolidation; and other internal spend controls, e.g. purchase order system, as appropriate
oLead financial and performance reviews based Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
oPro-actively manage Operations and IT of the business and tackle operational complaints in association with Managers
oResponsible for optimising procurement of key goods and services, and thereby ensuring as lean a cost structure as possible

You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified either looking for your first move from practice or in a similar role already in industry. The role is varied and offers exposure at board level in a growing SME.
