SYSTEMS ACCOUNTANT

This business are a fast-growing SME in the manufacturing sector with two well-functioning sites in Northamptonshire. They have an excellent reputation and are known as one of the best in their specialist field.

Your new role
Due to the business expanding, they are keen to appoint an Accountant to join the well-established finance team. Part of this role will be systems-based, working on a project providing support to the business ensuring the integrity of the financial data being reported through the ERP Accounting system. You would be required to support and lead in systems implementation, troubleshoot projects around the system and looking into where they are not using the system as they should be or as well as they could. The other part of the role will be around management accounting and you would be required to produce, manage and analyse costings and variances and to support the Finance Director and Controller with financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal person for this role will be fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA and as well as having a proven experience working in a role of similar stance, you will have a demonstrable background working in manufacturing, therefore having a great understanding of standard costing and variance analysis. Strong systems knowledge and accounting in an ERP environment is key.
