Assistant Accountant

Butler Rose, a specialist finance agency within the Oxfordshire market are currently supporting the recruitment for a successful international business based near Banbury in Oxfordshire.

Partnering with the International Finance Director to recruit as Assistant Accountant for a fast paced and exciting environment.

We are seeking an applicant who will support the company's commercial operations and work as part of the international finance team, interface between International and Regional Headquarters based in Europe (occasionally, some travel will be required).

As the Assistant Accountant you will assist with duties such as monthly management accounts, turnover reporting, VAT returns, Management Team support (including some very limited credit control duties), a full job description is available on demand.

This is a full time position but our client is open to school hours/flexi time should it be required.

Profile Requirements:

Excellent Excel knowledge - extensive use of Excel to format information

Qualified or Part Qualified Professional Accountant (AAT/ACCA/CIMA)

Excellent communication skills, an ability to converse with all levels and express themselves well

Good team player and willing learner and has drive - must be willing to assist in all areas of the business, wouldn't suit anyone afraid to get their hands dirty, seeking someone with a sense of humour

Self starter, who is willing to take on new and challenging tasks at short notice and use their own initiative to identify tasks

Assertive but reasonable

Numerically accurate with a "good eye for detail", thorough, organised and consistent
