This is an important finance role in an entrepreneurial and growing medical imaging business.  Following investment from a Private Equity provider the business is poised for significant growth.  The business works with both the NHS and the private medical sector delivering high quality diagnostic imaging from fixed, relocatable and mobile scanners.

The Financial Controller will be reporting to the CFO and will work with the small executive team.  The working environment is noisy & lively in a friendly, close-knit environment.

The new CFO has many plans to enable the business to scale efficiently and to improve the overall financial controls.  This role will work closely with the CFO to implement these plans and drive the business forward.  The business is well run and enhancements to the control environment and the processes are necessary. Data production, presentation and analysis will become an integral part of the role going forward.  Like most SMEs the business uses Excel heavily as part of its reporting and forecasting processes and therefore excellent Excel skills will be required.  Managing two members of staff and helping them to develop will also be an important part of the role.

This will be an interesting and challenging role involving accounting, business planning and potentially exposure to transactions. So strong accounting skills and ability to learn quickly and understand the commercial drivers of the business are vital.

Analysing the businesses data will become an increasingly important part of the finance teams work and this role will work closely with the CFO in using data to provide business insight.  The CFO will help, guide and develop the post holder to add to the board’s understanding of the business and financial implications of decisions.
