4-6 Month contract for SME Financial Controller for a fast-growing insurance brokerage in London City.
Your new company
Your new business is an insurance brokerage based in City of London. It is still in its first few years of establishment so is going through a period of high growth.
Your new role
You will be managing the day to day reporting requirements of the finance function to free up the current financial controller who will be working on a project. You will have responsibility for everything from producing management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, producing the strategic plan right down to managing the client calculations and cashbook control. As the finance team is relatively small you will be required to do ad hoc tasks as and when needed.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant from insurance broking. You will be immediately available and confident working within an SME environment. You will have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of accounting and able to hit the ground running.
What you'll get in return
You will be rewarded with a day rate of £250-£350/day dependent on experience. Due to the growth of the business it is likely that the role will go permanent for the right candidate at the end of the six months.
