Financial Controller

ABPM as experts in financial recruitment have been appointed by a manufacturing business based in Staffordshire to recruit a Financial Controller. The successful individual will be a qualified accountant who is engaged with the prospect of being proactive in the business and have good management skills to develop the team further.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring all policies, procedures and standards are adhered to. Furthermore managing the overall activities of the finance department both on the operational and transactional sides.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, group accounts and cash flow analysis, then presenting these to the management team.
• Completing all statutory accounts by certain deadlines and liaising with the external audit towards the year-end.
• Overseeing the budgeting processes for the year.
• Managing the accounting team who all have various and different roles and assisting with their development. Looking at new processes and systems or where to improve these to ensure the finance department is running efficiently and smoothly.
• In a timely manner, producing KPI's that are relevant for the week or month.
• ESSENTIAL
• You will need to be a Qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA with a strong financial accounts background.
• Great IT skills - Must be able to pick up the accounting systems quickly.
• The individual must be pro-active, a good team player and can communicate with people at all levels.
• Demonstrated good management skills in a previous role and can use them to push the team forward.

DESIRABLE Have a manufacturing background.
