Management Accountant

Location: Birmingham
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Hours: Permanent/full time

A rapidly growing business in Birmingham Centre is looking to recruit a Management Accountant to provide accurate and timely financial information for use by Management in its decision making process.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
* Bank reconciliations
* Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts prior to finalising the monthly accounts
* VAT returns
* Assisting with month business unit reporting
* Identifying and processing monthly accruals and prepayments
* Collating monthly reporting packs
* Assisting in the production of year-end schedules for Audit

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
* Ability to prepare monthly management accounts
* Committed and self-motivated
* Strong IT skills including good knowledge of Excel
* Ability to work accurately and to meet tight deadlines
* Good communication skills at all levels
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Be AAT qualified or have a relevant 2.1 degree and be part qualified / qualified CIMA or ACCA
