Finance Director – Manufacturing

The Opportunity

The business is a private equity-backed group, manufacturing equipment for high-profile global clients and governments. Due to a number of acquisitions, the enlarged UK division is now looking for a highly commercial and driven Finance Director, to play a pivotal role in overseeing all financial aspects of the company’s strategy. Reporting into the Group CFO and with dotted lines into the COO, you’ll be helping to drive the integration and growth of the UK business.

The Role

As part of the Executive Team, the Finance Director will be expected to lead, manage and direct Finance, Payroll and IT teams - ensuring effective strategic planning and operational performance to deliver the company’s business plan.

This is an exciting time to join the company as they enter their next phase of growth. You will not only be accountable for the company's financial control systems, you will be expected to build key relationships locally and globally. This role is very hands on, and you will be expected to implement systems and processes. Financial planning and reporting is key, and you must be able to continually support the business growth through ensuring the maintenance of high visibility and communication in the business.

The Requirements

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic finance professional, who can partner effectively with operations and commercial directors, as well as managing a finance team; you must have manufacturing experience, and understand product costing and margin analysis. The role will give you great exposure to private equity and a business undergoing significant change and growth.
