Finance Manager

Prominent, expanding Infrastructure Group is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to ensure accuracy and compliance across all PFI Projects and to mentor, develop and offer technical guidance to a team of junior accountants.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will have responsibility for:

• Quality control – to oversee the production of management accounts, budgets and statutory accounts for the company’s PFI portfolio
• Technical control – to be responsible for best practice and GAAP compliance
• Financial Model control – to provide technical advice and guidance

The Finance Manager will also be responsible for Audit Control which entails:

• Liaising with the companies’ auditors as well as carrying out an assessment of disclosures and providing recommended templates
• Co-ordinating with group consolidation and tax managers

Additional responsibilities for the Finance Manager include:

• Asset Management – to liaise with asset managers for reporting at quarterly board meetings
• Staff management – to provide accounting and technical guidance and mentoring
• PFI Projects – to take responsibility for two or three current projects as well as providing guidance on accounting and structure for new projects and acquisitions on the secondary market

Suitable applicants for the Finance Manager position should:

• Be a fully qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Have a strong technical knowledge of the accounting treatments for PFI Projects
• Have a strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Have proven experience of the PFI and Infrastructure sectors either directly or with clients within Public Practice
