Master Data Lead

We are currently on the lookout for a number of individuals who have been involved in large data migration projects for a role based in London. The project with be a 12-18 month contract and will require individuals to have a solid SAP background leading data migration and reporting programmes.

Role Overview:

• Develop and implement ERP Data Migration plans and transformation strategies including data extraction, collation, mapping, transformation, cleaning, load program development, data loading and validation.
• The Data Lead should work with the Core Systems Programme Team and the Data Management Team to identify the data that needs to transition from legacy systems to Core. This should include a thorough definition of the data fields, their structure/restructuring requirements, the timespan of the data to transition, the customer/business stream subsets included and any phasing of data transfer that is required.
• Design and develop project plans for the migration of commercial pan-EMEA businesses to single global SAP applications; working in collaboration with Business Analysts to determine appropriate mapping, rules and parameters for the transformation of business data.
• Design and establish tracking metrics for data loading and progress ensuring compliance with audits and SOX alignment.

BI and Reporting

• The Data lead is responsible for ensuring the data structures, which includes taxonomies, attributes and the associated reporting requirements are well defined with a clear and distinct tabling structure while also working with the Business Intelligence and PCI communities within TP to ensure that the data structures have the necessary reporting cubes available to the relevant business stakeholders in line with the deployment plan for Core (i.e. the reporting must be available at launch).

Data Structure Definition

• The Data Lead should also consider how data fed from external master sources (i.e. Product Information Management, PIM, and Master Data Management, MDM) should be used within Core Systems whilst maintaining integrity of data.
• Within core, the data and table structures are to be defined and where possible, utilise the vanilla structures within the system.
• The defined data structures should include the field type, definition, size, conversion(s), and security levels, source (where required) and include if indexing and search capabilities are required on the field.

Must Have Below Experience:

• Large scale Data Migration project experience, ideally incorporating multiple data types and systems.
• Data modelling, structuring, cleansing and migration across a wide range of available technologies.
• Data analytics and architecture skills.
• Experience of working within a multi-channel retail environment
