Payroll & Tax manager
Accountancy Action is recruiting for a Payroll & Tax manager for a large listed PLC in Birmingham. Being centered on the outskirts of Birmingham, this company is an easy place to get to and located near all major motorway links.
As a Payroll & Tax manager you will be the companies’ main point of contact for HMRC queries and inquiries to make sure that tax compliance as well as many legal/statutory obligations are met.
You will take part, lead and influence on important subjects with backing from your senior management team as well as some senior stakeholders in rewards and strategy, payroll procedures and making the best use of automation within Payroll.
Typical duties as follows:
- Ensure statutory deadlines and statutory returns are met.
- Investigate and resolve HMRC queries.
- To champion the legal, statutory and regulatory changes ensuring all compliance is up to date to meet future changes in regulation.
- Ensuring the tax and rewards strategy reflects on business needs whilst making sure legal requirements are being met.
In order to apply for this position, you will need a minimum of 5 years experience of working within a payroll supervisory/managerial level. CIPP is desirable but not essential.
A very competitive salary between £38,000 to £42,000 is on offer depending on experience, alongside some competitive benefits and rewards such as bonus scheme, pension, healthcare and childcare vouchers to name a few.
