Financial Accounting Manager

FRS Accountancy is assisting an international business in their search for a Financial Accounting Manager. The role will manage the efficient and effective running of the accounting department including leading a team to provide a high level of financial administration and facility management for internal business companies and external customers.

Duties will include:
•    Production of the management accounts.
•    Maintain compliancy with all internal controls and procedures.
•    Maintain and develop knowledge for reporting.
•    Support the business companies in compliance and risk management.
•    Set and review budgets for F&A and business companies.
•    Plan and co-ordinate audits.
•    Statutory reporting sign-off.
•    Tax returns.
•    Internal audit support.
•    Statutory audit support.
•    Manage the team performance and change management.
•    Maximise processes.
•    Deal with HMRC enquiries.
•    Balance sheet reconciliations.
•    Legal & fiduciary responsibilities.
•    Management reporting.
•    Compliance.
•    Facilities management support and decision making including: fleet, mobile telephones, fixed line, fuel cards, buildings / leases, FM Projects, insurances and IT.

The successful candidate will be / have:
•    Qualified or part qualified accountant.
•    Senior management experience in Finance & Accounting department in a global organisation.
•    Knowledge and experience of financial statement & corporate tax return preparation.
•    Knowledge and experience of statutory reporting requirements.
•    Understanding and knowledge of month end closing processes.
•    Excellent commercial awareness.
•    Facility management experience. (Desirable)
•    Pro-active, flexible.
•    Ability to work under pressure.
•    Good attention to detail is essential.
