Head of Financial Control

This FMCG company is looking for a Head of Finance Control to report directly to the Finance Director, collaboratively managing all areas of financial control, planning and analysis.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all relevant taxes are paid and accounted for with fit for purpose internal controls to ensure compliance, particularly VAT and Duty Excise through being the HMRC point of contact. 
• Setting an appropriate ‘tone’ for the business within its internal policies, which are regularly reviewed and updated as appropriate
• Managing the outsourced credit partners to continually deliver high quality debtors performance; having market knowledge and information to pro-actively manage any potential customer credit risk.
• Responsible for maintaining a relevant risk register that is reviewed by the management team
• Ensure all team members have challenging but achievable goals that are aligned to the company’s objectives

The ideal candidate for this role must have:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
• Strong Excel modelling skills
• Strong SAP Knowledge
• Experience in FP&A and/or Finance Control aspects of Finance within the FMCG or Retail Industry
• Technical Accounting.
• Ideally experienced with tax matters, especially excise.
