This Commercial FD appointment is newly created following the merger of two divisions into one. It will report directly to a charismatic Divisional MD and have full accountability for all aspects financial matters. The successful candidate will bring first hand experience of operating in a similar size role and able to operate autonomously:
Role:
- Operate as a true strategic business partner to the MD, operating as part of the leadership team formulating strategies and plans to profitably grow the business.
- Ensure that the finance systems and infrastructure are ‘fit for purpose’ making plans for the future and ensuring that processes are developed to take full advantage of emerging opportunities.
- Inspire and develop a team of highly motivated finance professionals, able to fully support the business on all day to day activities.
Candidate:
- A qualified subject matter expert, who is recognised as a credible and well respected FD who brings first hand experience of working in a commercial organisation. Although flexible on sector, experience of operating in an organisation that sell into government departments or agencies alike would be beneficial but not essential.
- Described as commercially astute, innovative, technically strong leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels is a pre-requisite.
- Proven leader, able to bring extensive people management experience, preferably gained in a growing business.
