Production Accountant

KennedyPearce are currently working on securing the services of an exceptional production accountant to work with a prestigious media brand. You will be initially recruited on a You will be responsible for:

Production Budgeting

Working alongside the production management team this role is responsible for overseeing the production budgeting process by:

• Assisting in the Coordination and preparation of accurate, detailed and timely production budgets
• Assisting the production management team with any budgeting queries
• Monitoring performance vs. budgets on a regular basis
• Reporting the results to the Finance Manager
• Escalating any financial issues to the Finance Manager and Head of Production

Production Purchases

Ensuring that all production purchases comply with applicable company, tax and other legal/government regulations. Specific tasks will include:

• Ensuring payments to freelancers comply with HMRC tax rules for the Film and TV industry
• Working with the Finance Assistant to ensure supplier payment queries are resolved
• Reviewing and posting journals for Production Manager and Production Executives
• Monitoring and reviewing returned employee float accounting
• Assisting Production Managers with ad-hoc finance queries.

Other

• Coordinating and managing the process for raising invoices for all production recharges
• Managing & Guiding the Finance Assistants
• Producing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for Finance Manager
• Dealing with any other ad hoc production related finance matters as required
• Handling and interpreting requests from the Auditors
