CREDIT CONTROLLER - LONDON - £25,000 - £28,000 - OUR CLIENT is an extremely well established firm of Chartered Surveyors and commercial property agents based in Central London with an excellent reputation in the market. They are now seeking an experienced client accountant to join their property management accounts team on a permanent basis and take responsibility for credit control duties for a portfolio of clients and properties ensuring the timely collection of rent, service charge and other income from tenants, in accordance with the terms of their lease.

THE ROLE - Duties/responsibilities include:

  • Timely collection of rent, service charge and other debts from tenants, in accordance with the terms of their lease, and in line with agreed Key Performance Indicators.
  • Regular contact with tenants, via telephone and email, and chasing payment of outstanding debts until settlement is received.
  • Liaising with surveying and client accounting colleagues, and other appropriate sources, to ensure that any queries or disputes are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Updating tenant information on the database including contact details, arrears notes and payment information.
  • Producing and distributing accurate and timely arrears reports in accordance with client and internal requirements.
  • Assisting the cashiering team in the correct allocation of monies received, and in other duties at busy times.
  • Performing all duties professionally and in line with documented procedures to ensure all internal and external targets are successfully achieved.
  • Any other task that may reasonably be required.


THE PERSON: In order to apply, you must have experience working within client accounting ideally as a credit controller, though the position will offer room for progression and growth. It is desirable that the chosen candidate has strong working knowledge of one of the leading property management systems such as QUBE or TRAMPS. The chosen candidate will be organised, proactive and professional and possess very strong written and spoken communication skills.
