Billings and Operations Manager

Investigo are proud to be running a recruitment advertising campaign for Gigaclear, in search of a Billings and Operations Manager, to be based out of their HQ Abingdon, South Oxfordshire.

Gigaclear plc is a dynamic, fast growing and game changing broadband provider that is making a significant difference to the broadband landscape in rural England. A builder, operator and provider of pure fibre broadband services to consumers and businesses, Gigaclear has established itself as a major player in the fibre infrastructure landscape in this country over the last 5 years. 

Gigaclear have just signed a major contract with Connecting Devon and Somerset (CDS) to deliver a £62.25m million network to 35,225 of the hardest to reach homes and businesses in the region by 2019. The contract is the largest of its kind awarded under the Government superfast broadband programme in the UK, and Council leaders are hailing the contract terms as ‘unparalleled’ and a ‘great deal’ for local communities.
Alongside CDS, Gigaclear has also won two other contracts under the Government’s superfast broadband programme to deliver FTTP networks in Fastershire (Herefordshire and Gloucestershire) and Northamptonshire by 2019.

Role overview:

Gigaclear is growing fast, and fueled by the recent success in securing several large Government funded contracts they are now looking for a ‘billing expert’. Someone who is a natural problem solver, comes with a wealth of experience in billing, gets excited by fibre broadband and is seeking the opportunity to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, and challenging but rewarding environment.

•    Billing Operations and Customer Experience 
•    Commercial Business Partnering
•    Accounts Receivable and Revenue Accounting 


Core skills & experience required:
•    Previous experience managing subscription billing at scale 
•    Clearly understands billing systems architecture and is systems ‘savvy’ 
•    A history of process improvement and change management in challenging environments 
•    Process mapping and work flow optimisation 
•    Exposure to revenue recognition under IFRS 
•    Excellent Excel ability including analysis, reporting and dashboards 
•    Strong people management skills
