My client is a leading Manufacturing business based in Middlesex. They are looking for a Financial Analyst to join them for a 12 month contract with scope to go permanent.
The successful candidate will provide analysis and reporting of business performance for the UK, including evaluation against key performance indicators (KPI's), and recommendations of corrective action where appropriate.
Responsibilities:
Coordination of annual budget and monthly forecasting processes, in accordance with Corporate guidelines
In conjunction with other cross-functional members coordinate and prepare the monthly phased forecast for sign off by the UK Management Team
Coordinate with Brand Marketing for the preparation of the annual Budget, ensuring underlying assumptions are consistent with those provided by Corporate and UK Management team.
Review and approve the monthly actual results. Manage & interpret trends and determine impact on the quarterly/annual forecast, and making appropriate recommendations to the Head of Financial Planning
Interpret the monthly financial results to capture trends and variances from planned expectations to determine any implications on quarterly and annual forecasts.
Review of weekly account / brand sales reports to identify major movements & deviations from forecast expectations.
Review of weekly orders and shipments reporting.
Preparation and review of the weekly report for the Weekly Trading Meeting.
Review of monthly royalties calculation.
Financial Reporting Packs
Preparation of the monthly Financial Reporting Packs, for review with the Head of Financial Planning.
Experience & Skills
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- Practical experience gained in a commercial role in an FMCG / Industry environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to clearly summarise and present information and recommendations to non-finance managers (sales & marketing) & senior management.
- Understanding & experience of management accounting including full P&L responsibility.
- Understanding & knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
- Previous experience of training less qualified team members.
