Adjacency are currently recruiting a UK Financial Controller for a Bristol based organisation who are a leading global developer and supplier within their field.  Part of a much larger global organisation, this UK based business has a team of high quality finance professionals who combine to make a first class team. The role comes with a salary of £50,000 to £55,000 plus generous benefits including bonus, healthcare, life assurance and income protection.   

Ultimately the UK Financial Controller is responsible for ensuring the accounts for the UK businesses are completed accurately and on time.  You will engage with the business working with stakeholders helping them understand and ultimately use the numbers to improve decision making and drive performance.  There will also be involvement in various accounting projects which can be companywide or finance specific. 

Accountabilities include;

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including monthly review with budget holders.
  • Annual budgets for the UK Business and capital expenditure plans.
  • Continual development and improvement of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Weekly KPI reporting and cash flow forecasting.
  • Completion of UK statutory accounts, VAT returns and accounting compliance.
  • Ad hoc projects

Experience and qualifications;

  • Fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) accountant with suitable post qualified experience in line with accountabilities listed above gained working in industry or public practice.
  • Experience of reporting software and ERP systems and good intermediate Excel and MS Office.
