Indirect Tax Manager

Butler Rose is pleased to be supporting global blue chip household name and one of Milton Keynes' premiere employers, with the recruitment of an Indirect Tax Manager. It's truly an exciting time to join this organisation due to recent new product launches to the consumer market during 2016 and continued new lines planned for 2017.

The main purpose for the Indirect Tax Manager will be to take ownership of indirect tax compliance across different revenue streams for the business, improve tax compliance and partner with senior stakeholders offering tax consultancy advice.

Duties will include the following (this is not an exhaustive list):

- Identify opportunities to implement and increase VAT recovery

- Manage ad-hoc projects & influence decision making and behaviours of key stakeholders

- Analyse tax implications of changes in legislation and offer solutions to the senior management team

- Full ownership of the indirect tax compliance tracker ensuring deadlines are met, reducing the risk of penalties

Our client expects the following attributes from the successful applicant:

- Recognised accountancy qualification I.e. CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent achieved in a recognised firm or large corporate business

- Ability to research & debate technically complex tax issues with senior stakeholders

- Advantageous to have advanced MS Excel, knowledge of ERP systems and generally good IT skills

- Possess good business acumen and the ability to influence and partner with non finance management
