Our client, with strong global presence are a real success story. With one significant acquisition completed in 2016 and others targeted for 2017 the business enjoys revenues of more than £100m per annum with ambitious, yet realistic plans to take this to £200m within the next three years.
Due to this significant growth, there is now the need to appoint into this newly created role.
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with members of the senior leadership team this high profile and highly visible role will provide the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of finance within a very fast moving organisation.
With a wide remit, responsibilities will include:
- All aspects of commercial decision support, driving profitability and providing robust analysis to enable sound commercial decisions. Working closely with country managers of the overseas subsidiaries and overseeing the financial controllers, ultimately you will be challenging and empowering operational teams to ensure maximum profitability.
- Budgeting, forecasting, modelling and strategic planning for potential transactions
- Integrating new subsidiaries, ensuring a strong control environment is established, reporting is accurate and timely and ultimately that profitability is maximised.
- Mentoring and developing the finance team.
You will need to be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or ACMA) with strong technical ability. The role demands significant previous commercial and operational experience, coupled with international exposure.
Perhaps you will have grown within an SME or a division of a larger corporate, either way you will be looking for an opportunity to excel in a fast-growing international organisation.
Capable of communicating and influencing senior non-financial stakeholders; confidence, gravitas, and impact is key and must be demonstrated.
The ability to adapt your working style across different cultures is paramount.
Successful candidates will be hands on with a strong eye for detail, yet comfortable operating at Group Board level.
With a flexible approach to work and the willingness to travel within Europe and Internationally (US, Australia, and Japan) this is a superb opportunity for an outstanding individual offering high level exposure to senior management.
