Financial Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and fast-paced organisation based in Essex, who are seeking a Group Financial Reporting Accountant to join their established team on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract.

The role reports into the group financial reporting manager and together with the team you will focus on servicing the group level financial reporting. There will also be close working relationships with the Finance Directors and Controllers across all business units, both in the UK and worldwide.

Duties and responsibilities include:
- Preparing the monthly group financial reporting analysis for submission to the executive management, including performance analysis against budget;
- Support of the half and full year external financial reporting results;
- Reviews over controls environment and assisting implementing changes as required;
- Supporting ad-hoc finance projects;
- Exposure to IFRS implementation;
- Assisting in other group reporting requirements.

Key skills and experience:
- You will be professionally Qualified with relevant and solid post qualification experience.
- IFRS and financial services industry experience would be preferred.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to use own initiative and to work well alone and as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of the standard Microsoft environment.
