Internal Auditor

I am currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Principal Internal Auditor for a role based near Coventry. As business demands increase, Internal Audit needs to position itself with the skills and competence to appropriately challenge and provide appropriate assurance to the Board. This role will be fundamental to achieving this objective, by building on the existing knowledge across the team.

As a Principal Auditor working as part of an expert Internal Audit team, you will support and perform independent reviews of the effectiveness of processes and controls across key business activities, to identify and assess areas of deficiency, support delivery of the Internal Audit plan and make recommendations to improve the Society's internal control environment.

About You:
You will work as part of the Internal Audit team to ensure engagements are undertaken in accordance with professional requirements, address key Society risk areas and meet continuously increasing stakeholder expectations. You will also interact directly with the key decisions makers within the Society.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA), with at least three years' external/internal audit experience. A working knowledge of current auditing techniques is required and any experience of contributing to technology based audits would also be beneficial.

Excellent interpersonal skills are a must as you will communicate with stakeholders throughout the business on a regular basis, as is the ability to quickly gain an understanding of complex processes. Experience of the retail financial services sector would be advantageous.
