Finance Analyst

Our client is a multi-national organisation with assets worth over £10bn. They have a history of outperforming the market in each of their operating sectors and are currently undergoing a period of new funding schemes and strategic initiatives to increase their market presence.

They are currently seeking an Interim Financial Analyst to join their team which reports into to the Board of Directors, providing the financial insight and information to guide future strategy. Liaison with senior finance and non-financial stakeholders as well as key members of the internal finance function will be critical in providing underlying information that supports ongoing operations, both in domestic and international markets.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, key responsibilities are:

• Analysis of core data to provide pipeline strategic applications and long-term projections;
• Preparation and analysis of operating activities cash-flow forecast to manage investment arm’s liquidity and strategy;
• Maintenance and operation of Financial Models in accordance with strict group guidelines used to produce financial data tables for non-Finance departments;
• Support for the budget management process including detailed allocation and utilization during the year;
• Statutory accounting of programme related investment activities;
• Provision of technical accounting, process solutions for complex investment schemes and the relevant compliance;
• Maintenance and improvement of processes and controls;

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Accountant, trained in practice (ACA, ACCA)
• A strong communicator, able to articulate their point clearly and concisely with finance or non-finance functions, and comfortable with challenging others;
• A proven track record of building and maintaining key internal and external stakeholder relationships;
• Experience of working in a business to business environment at a commercial finance level;
• Strong IT skills, including Excel, and the ability to learn new IT systems and processes;
• Strong communication skills both written and oral;
