Hays Senior Finance are delighted to be working in partnership with this large, dynamic organisation, based in Atherstone, Warwickshire, to recruit a Business Control Analyst / Assistant Management Accountant in the Finance team.

Your new role
Overall objectives of the role:

• Integral part of the Business Control team that plans, analyses and reports the financial and operational performance of the company.
• The role holder will support in transforming the management accounting processes.
• To meet the needs of a dynamic business by providing essential insight into business performance, alerting the manager to changes in trends and supporting the business partners in developing meaningful business models.
• It is essential to robustly challenge current processes and offer suggestions for continuous improvement in Finance.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Produce sound financial reporting to support the management of the business.
• Contribute to the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
• Production of the weekly estimated results and other KPIs to enable the management team to monitor actual performance and make tactical adjustments as necessary.
• Analyse variances utilising relevant management accounting methodology.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.

Forecast & Budgets

• Prepare forecasts and budgets.
• Contribute to the consolidated quarterly forecast and annual budget process, ensuring the financial and non financial data is accurate and submitted to required deadlines.

What you'll need to succeed
Desirable experience and knowledge:

• Experienced in working with management accounting methodology
• Experience in reporting and planning platforms
• Experience of producing accurate management accounts for a large multi site organisation.
• Experience of producing meaningful analysis of business performance

Necessary Technical / Functional Skills:

• PC skills: Microsoft Office Advanced, SAP or similar software
• Skilled in analysing business information in complex business situations
• Able to draw out the key risks and opportunities
