Underwriter

Your Job

We are looking for a proactive, experienced and knowledgeable underwriter to take on this integral Underwriter position in East Oxfordshire either on a full-time or part-time basis. You will be working within a team, supporting with their underwriting tasks for vehicle loans. As this client is a small and rapidly expanding business, it is essential that you are able to bring strong experience of non-prime lending and impressive transferrable skills to help grow and develop their organisation.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

- Underwriting new business applications, negotiating deals and ensuring compliance with the CRP (Credit Risk Policy)
- Maintaining a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of the company's products and services
- Ensuring company policies are compliant at all times
- Working with car dealerships in a professional and friendly manner


Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have previous non-prime underwriting experience. As you will be joining a small team, a hands on, collaborative approach is essential, and you will possess natural leadership qualities. Please note there is an element of weekend work required of the post-holder.
