An opportunity has arisen in one of the North West’s leading international “brands” for a Group Financial Controller to join the team. Working in a fluid and rapidly changing environment, it is an exciting time to join the Group as it embarks on a period of acquisitions and ongoing investment.
The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for the integrity of all financial information across the region, and executing and implementing the US financial leadership’s overall objectives.
Responsibilities of the Group Financial Controller include;
The successful Group Financial Controller will be ACA qualified and have strong technical accounting skills, as well as extensive US GAAP experience with large and complex international organisations. Candidates that can demonstrate this experience direct from a Big 4 environment will also be considered.
The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for the integrity of all financial information across the region, and executing and implementing the US financial leadership’s overall objectives.
Responsibilities of the Group Financial Controller include;
- Ensuring all financial and management reporting for the region is timely, accurate, reliable
- Leading the reporting processes under US GAAP and liaising with the US Group Finance team.
- Leading the overall European statutory and local tax filing/audit processes and ensure all regions local tax and statutory filings/audits are completed and filed timely.
- Oversight of Sarbanes Oxley regime and compliance
- Reviewing and implement reporting systems and process as appropriate to harmonise reporting systems across the group
- Maintaining a strong control environment, anticipating risks, and ensuring clean internal and external audit processes.
