Badenoch & Clark are recruiting for an experienced Project Finance Analyst to join a successful technology company in Kings Cross. Ideally you will be a graduate with 2-3 years experience and happy to travel to Leatherhead one day a week.

Key responsibilities:

* Assist sector finance leads, making sure all parties (business and finance) have full visibility over the status and outlook of their projects.
* Review PRT (excel tool used by Project Managers to manage the finances of their projects) at month end and post revenue to be recognised at month end.
* Regular review of cost base and actioning of necessary accruals and prepayments (Understand internal and external costs and ensure accurate).
* Understand key business events which drive changes to the P&L
* Gain an understanding of key financial contract terms and conditions and ensure appropriate judgement applied to financials including revenue recognition review of new business and ensure correct accounting treatment.
* Attend project reviews to understand delivery issues and consequences on the finances.
* Where required get involved in preparing/resolving issues with the PRT
* Supporting, as needed, the preparation and review of the financial models and audit packs (internal and external) relevant to projects.
* Responsible for producing required monthly slides & management information (P&L and Balance sheet).
* Where required provide business partnering to support bid activity including preparing, checking and approving models.
* Decision support to the business project owners (e.g. for commercial negotiations).
* Review and submit health check information where appropriate.
* Ad-hoc finance projects or project related work.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
* Part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant or similar
* The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills;
* Being able to work effectively with teams in different locations;
* They will be a confident and proficient communicator, comfortable with dealing with a variety of staff;
* Process orientated and results driven;
* Experience of forecasting and reporting;
* Experience within the IT services sector and contract accounting would be useful but is not a pre-requisite;
* Experience of working in a Shared Service environment would be useful but is not a pre-requisite;
* Experience with using PeopleSoft and Hyperion Financial Management would be useful but is not a pre-requisite.
