Senior General Manager

Choralis Consulting have instructions to recruit a Senior General Manager - Cargo.

The company: offer its services to an enviable global client portfolio and has a presence in over 50 countries around the world. With a worldwide team of over 18000, managing millions of transactions yearly - the company generate multi billion £ revenues and are the worlds leaders in their field.

The Role: will be responsible for leading the company's Cargo's operational delivery plans at Heathrow. Taking early responsibility for ensuring operational excellence is achieved from the team, developing and implementing best practice processes and controls, deliver organisational strategy, working with key stakeholders negotiating/agreeing commercial contracts, maximising profit, identifying and reducing costs making changes where necessary. lead and manage service level agreements (SLA's),prepare budgets, organisational plans and future strategy, delivering to senior management a world class smooth and effective Logistics/cargo operation.

The person: will be a suitably qualified senior manager with at least 5-7 years previous experience in a similar position within a global Freight forwarding/logistics organisation. An expert in IATA Air Cargo Laws and regulations with excellent knowledge in International export/import documentation. A highly professional individual who is career and results focused, strong IT skills(Excel) comfortable working in a corporate environment with a strong analytical background and an eye for detail. Excellent communication and presentation skills, reporting to the CFO, a self motivated business leader comfortable influencing the decision making process.
