Senior Accountant

A well established Chartered Certified firm of Accountants are looking for Senior Accountant to join them at their Sheffield office.

The firm have an excellent reputation and have been serving the Sheffield market for more than 50 years. They offer a relaxed and professional working environment, a competitive salary, flexible working and a generous holiday allowance of 32 days per year.

Working alongside a team of other accountants you will undertake a variety of accountancy and business services duties for your own portfolio of clients, typically businesses in the £1m - £20m turnover range. Typical duties will include:

*Preparation of year end accounts for limited companies, LLP's, partnerships and sole trader businesses.
*Undertaking audits for the above, including under Solicitors' Accounts Rules and Charities Acts etc.
*Preparation of tax returns - VAT, P11d / Benefit in Kind, personal tax and corporation tax.
*Preparation of management accounts and ad-hoc reports.
*Bookkeeping services.
*Various administrative duties in support of the above.
*Client liaison and meetings.

The firm offers a whole service approach to its clients, so you will be responsible for any and all work for the portfolio of clients you are given responsible for. This means they are looking for someone with good communication skills, versatility, strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

An ideal applicant would have a broad accounting background within general practice including accounts preparation, audit and taxation, though audit experience is not essential. Holding a relevant qualification such as ACA or ACCA would also be an advantage, but part qualified or unqualified candidates with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
