Senior Finance Analyst

A Senior Finance Analyst is sought by a leading industrial FTSE-100 Plc who are one of the clear leaders in their field with a strong strategy for future growth. They operate on a global basis and across several distinct vertical markets. You’ll be responsible for one of these verticals and you’ll need to think and be commercial in this role and not simply ‘keep the wheel turning’ - the role involves reporting on and analysing actuals as well as looking forward with a strategic viewpoint.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Analysis, the Senior Finance Analyst will act as a Business Partner to global business units (BU), providing key analytical & strategic support to finance and non-finance stakeholders alike. Duties include:

• Providing analysis of business value drivers and KPI’s for the BUs / Group.
• Producing key divisional performance reports including monthly business review with supporting analysis for each BU.
• Liaising effectively with key BU contacts to build strong relationships and improve the quality of the information produced.
• Preparing forecasts / annual business plans and detailed budgets with appropriate analysis of variances, sensitivities, risks and opportunities.
• Providing support & analysis to other teams, e.g. Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, Group Reporting, Tax etc…
• A range of ad hoc commercial and strategic projects.

The ideal Senior Finance Analyst will be a fully qualified ACA / CIMA who is either currently working for a FTSE 100 / 250 Plc or equivalent or is still within a Big 4 / Top 10 firm, possibly in a Transaction Services or other advisory role. You will have a sound technical background, proven analytical & communication skills and will be comfortable providing commercial, value-added output to a range of stakeholders; you will also have the maturity & gravitas to operate at all levels. Rate: £55000 - £60000 + £6000 car + 20% bonus + good benefits.
