Group Financial Controller

SF Group are working with a diverse business in the Midlands to source a technically strong but commercially sensible Group Financial Controller.

As right hand to the Chief Financial Officer and Owner of the business you will deal with all corporate and group related finance matters - reporting, treasury, taxation, property, insurances and the like but given the size of the organisation (under £500m turnover) you will have significant involvement in not only the Group's performance but the performance of the individual entities and sub groups that make up the overarching business.

You will be a qualified accountant and ideally be working or have worked in a group finance function previously - this could have been within a listed or non listed organisation.

Sector experience is not hugely relevant for this role - we will look at candidates from any industry background - what is important is that you, as a senior finance person, will have sat across more than one business unit and will have had to manage the requirements of the group finance function whilst maintaining healthy, communicative relationships with the individual business unit FD's and MD's.
