UK Tax Manager needed for global FMCG business in Berkshire!
£50,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Investigo is currently recruiting for a UK Tax Manager to join a well known brand in a fast moving and dynamic industry to lead the tax process for the UK business to comply with legislation and deliver financial benefits to the Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the USGAAP tax reporting and accounting for the UK business.
Key responsibilities:
- Internal tax subject matter expert for UK and Ireland businesses
- Lead and effectively manage the UK group's relationship with HMRC
- Lead the relationship with external tax compliance advisors, including budget management
- Ensure the group's UK tax accounting arrangements are appropriate to enable Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) (i.e., the UK CFO) sign off
- Liaise with HR and payroll teams on employment tax related matters e.g. Employee benefits,PSA etc.
- Corporation tax and VAT compliance commitments for the UK and Ireland legal entities
- FAS 109 accounting for the UK business
- Forecasting cash taxes (VAT, Corporate Tax)
- Forecasting the UK effective tax rate for the year
- Provide tax technical input and review of UK legal entity statutory accounts
- Manage tax processes to optimise efficiency, partnering with the Shared Service Centre to improve delivery
- Control owner for SOX control and other internal tax controls
- Liaise with business units on ad-hoc tax issues
- Leading ad-hoc tax projects
Key requirements:
- University degree
- CTA or ACA qualified (Big4 desirable) - ideal for a first time mover into industry
- Strong general knowledge across different taxes (Corporate Tax, VAT, PAYE/NI, transfer pricing, etc.)
- International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) accounting knowledge
- US GAAP tax accounting (FAS109)
- US GAAP accounting standards
- Experience of preparing tax returns and accounting for taxes, including deferred taxes
- Dealing with HMRC and professional advisors
