Our client is a high growth venture capital backed luxury products business rapidly. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, commercially-minded Finance Director to join this exciting, fast-growing business. Key responsibilities will include -
- To work as an active member of the Board in continually evolving and implementing financial reporting, policies, procedures & strategies to:
- To work closely with the Operations Director to grow equity value
- To safeguard, control, and optimise the Company’s finances ensuring that all statutory, regulatory, and contractual reporting and compliance obligations are met, or exceptions brought to the attention of the Board, on a timely basis.
- To coordinate a true and challenging “zero-based” budget well in advance of each financial year, underpinned by specific, valid and realistic assumption, and fully ‘owned’ by relevant ‘budget-holders’.
- To provide monthly management accounts, within 7 working days of month end, reporting actual performance against, and response to variances from, budgets; including relevant KPIs as agreed from time to time.
- To plan and oversee all year-end procedures including statutory account preparation, audit clearance and submission of tax computations.
- To help manage relationships with key stakeholders in the business, such as Bank/Asset based Lender, Suppliers and Customers, to ensure optimum funding/cash availability.
- To agree a Personal Development Plan with key reportees, at least annually, covering achievements against previous objectives, training and development plan and future objectives.
- To lead with an open and honest style, empowering others through clear communication of context and objectives and effective delegation of authority with responsibility.
You will be a Qualified Accountant with excellent communication skills and an approachable manner. You will have a track record of improving financial processes. You must be a self-starter with strong leadership skills and the ability to build strong relationships both internally and with external stakeholders.
