ABPM as experts in financial recruitment are assisting a European metal recycling company a subsidiary of a US Parent Company, they are recruiting a Finance Manager for a brand new factory based in Wolverhampton. They wish to recruit a qualified accountant to take on the challenge of creating a finance function to support a small business in a start-up phase, a standalone role with a very hands-on approach. The individual must be able to work on their own initiative, extremely self-motivated, well organised and a good all-rounder.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the general manager fully whilst the facility is established, reporting into the Finance Director based in London
- Setting up accounting processes to then production of monthly accounts and year-end in accordance with group requirements
- Stock, purchasing and sales invoices, cash transactions, VAT, payroll and credit control
- Quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
- Managing local bank facilities
- Ad hoc duties when required
PROFILE
- Hold a recognised an accountancy qualification - ACA/ACCA/ACMA
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and accountancy systems (Navision would be desirable)
- Ideally have experience or knowledge of foreign currency accounting
- Desirable - someone who has experience working in a start-up business
