Financial Accountant

Leading company based local to Teddington is seeking a Financial Accountant - 11/12 month Maternity Cover

The role is supporting the Head of Finance producing financial accounting for a number of business units within the group and managing the Finance Team.

• Assisting with and ensuring that the end of period journal coding, accruals and prepayment schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations are completed on time and are accurate
• Liaising with the management accounts team and assisting them with any queries
• Presenting Balance sheet reviews
• Analysis and preparation of the year end tax
• Assisting with and ensuring that all accounts are compliant with the current accounting standards
• Assisting with the retrieval of data for audit reporting and liaising with the auditors to ensure the year end audits are completed efficiently with minimum disturbance to the businesses.
• Responsibility for maintenance of fleet financing information
• Responsible for accurate cash flow forecasting after liaison with the management accounts team
• Responsible for maintaining the fixed asset accounting system
• Responsible for monthly VAT reporting
• Liaising with Business managers to ensure the flow of data from businesses is done efficiently, auditable and
• Statutory reporting using both IFRS and UK GAAP
• Management and supervision of the finance team on a day to day basis and to include annual appraisals and staff planning requirements presented to the HOF
• Ad hoc duties

SKILLS

• ACCA/CIMA fully qualified
• Demonstrable financial accounting experience
• Excellent time management skills
• Agresso preferred
• Highly proficient MS Excel
• Database experience
• Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Available for the duration of the contract 11/12 months
