A well established business located in Croydon are currently seeking an experienced Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
* Processing weekly Payroll for 20+ employees and assisting with 120+ employees Payroll.
o Setting up new starters.
o Pension admin.
o Processing leavers and issuing the P45's.
o Dealing with attachment of earnings orders and other deductions.
o Processing wages, overtime, bonuses, holiday pay and weekly expenses.
o Processing SMP, SPP and SSP.
o Dealing with and resolving wage queries.
o Review submitted timesheets.
o Weekly submission to HMRC and pension provider.

* Processing journals to nominal ledger and cost centres of SAGE 200.
* Analysing credit card statements and processing journals.
* Monthly expenses for salaried staff - Processing bank payments to nominal ledger and cost centres.
* Purchase ledger duties.
* Processing invoice and credit notes.
* Reconcile monthly sales and assist with the production of monthly accounts.
* Intercompany invoicing.
* Processing supplier invoices and reconciling against statements.
* Analysing and managing specific accounts.
* General office administration - Answering external calls and emails.
* Covering other members of team in absence.

Essential requirements -
* Payroll experience.
* Problem solving ability and ability to improve processes.
* High level of attention to detail.
* High level of organisational and communication skills.
* Working knowledge of Excel.
* Knowledge and understanding of legislation and rules such as Tax payments and exemption.

Desired requirements -
* Lives locally to Croydon.
* SAGE 200 and SAGE Payroll experience.
