Managment Accountant

Athwal Resourcing is recruiting for a Group of Companies, who are looking for a Management Accountant for one of the medium sized subsidiary manufacturing businesses. The role reports into the Divisional Finance Controller you will be responsible for:

• Producing the monthly management accounts and reporting, including monthly variance analysis and Balance Sheet reconciliations;

• Assisting in the preparation of the annual business plan;

• Analysis of company sales and gross margin reporting;

• Operating expense overhead cost analysis and Standard Cost experience would be beneficial with reviews and feedback on variances to budget holders;

• Monthly control and posting of accruals, prepayments and accounting transactions;

• Regular review of streamlining processes and procedures;

• Assisting with the working capital requirements of the business.

Key Skills and Attributes:

• Either AAT qualified or Graduate calibre and studying ACMA or ACCA;

• Minimum of 2 years' accounts preparation experience of working in a busy finance office;

• Good grounding in accounting ledgers and costing experience;

• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of an integrated ERP system;

• Good time management skills and ability to prioritise own workload;

• Ability to work to strict deadlines;

• Good communication skills (both verbally and in writing);

• Confidence and willingness to challenge the status quo

• High levels of enthusiasm and confidence with a positive team and can-do attitude;

• Must pay attention to detail.
