Finance Analyst

A prestigious retail organisation based in the heart of West Sussex are looking for a Finance Analyst on 6 month fixed term contract basis to provide additional support to their commercial Finance function. Any potential candidates must be available on short-notice.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support the Business partners and Head's of Departments to assist with production of routine financial reporting, financial MI & analysis with presentations.

Other responsibilities will include:

* Support the production of annual budgets/plans and regular reforecasts.
* Understand key drivers of performance and participate in commercial decisions.
* Responsible for certain month close activities, including recording of expenses and analysis of variances
* Produce and consolidate monthly analysis for Heads of functions in order to understand how their function is performing against budget and forecast with variances identified and explained.
* Responsible for month close activities including monthly accruals and provisions, reconciliations, and preparation of monthly reports.

The ideal candidate will be part qualified ACCA/CIMA with an understanding of the budget process and preparation of analysis.
This role will suit individuals who are able to highlight developing trends and variances to forecast in a large organisation as well as working independently to prepare drafts of reports/presentations for review.
Attributes required for this role is the ability adapt and be responsive to change, have excellent systems skills; in particular Excel.
