A business located in Crawley are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Posting supplier invoices and notes through purchase ledger to the client matters.
* Set up and maintain supplier details
* Ensuring payments to both suppliers and members are made in line with Accounts rules and company internal procedures.
* Reconciling supplier statements including requesting copies of invoices not received.
* Resolving supplier queries.
* Liaising with other departments and suppliers to ensure invoices and notes are sent direct to the Accounts department.
* Assisting at month end with billing, compliance and VAT requirements.
* Assisting with journal postings and file closures.
* Any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Finance Director
The successful candidate will:
Essential:
* Have relevant skills and work experience in Accountancy
* Have a passion and genuine love for Accounts
* Have VAT knowledge
* A Good understanding and experience of the purchase ledger function including posting invoices, payment runs and supplier reconciliations.
Desired:
* Studying towards AAT or ACCA
* Live locally to Crawley
* Professional services background
