Financial Accountant

This role within this sector services company is to support the key disciplines of Internal Reporting, Controlling, Statutory Reporting and Cash Management.

To secure the position of the company and its subsidiaries and directors by ensuring full and timely compliance with all requirements for reporting, together with the maintenance of the control environment for the UK operating business units and to have exposure to operational finance within the UK Group.

Responsibilities include:

• Deliver timely and accurate reporting
• Deliver timely and accurate internal reporting for UK Group including reporting packs/board presentations
• Participation in the UK internal audit programme.
• Ensure submission of year-end financial statements in accordance with Corporate and statutory requirements
• Participating in Working Capital Optimisation Programmes.
• Gaining an understanding of all aspects of a divisional back office function

The ideal candidate for this role must have:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified – committed to studying a professional accountancy qualification
• Strong academics – degree educated.
• The ability to work accurately within exacting deadline in a corporate environment

• Ability to organise and prioritise workload
• A high level of flexibility and a positive attitude to innovation and change
