Newly Qualified Accountant
An opportunity based in Central London for a Newly Qualified Accountant. You will need to have recently qualified (up to 1 year post qualified) and either come from practice but ideally you will have experience gained for a Financial Services firm. Banking, Broking or Asset Management experience is ideal. The role is a good opportunity to learn in a growing business.
Starting as a 6 month contract you will assist the Financial Controller primarily with any external reporting requirements but also will provide assistance as and when required on other work-streams when external reporting requirements are met. The role will predominantly be in Financial Accounting, there will be some Management Accounting tasks too.
The monthly tasks are to prepare the monthly financial accounting reports, assist with ad-hoc month-end work streams as and when required.
The Quarterly and annual tasks include preparing the quarterly reports, planning and guidance/preparation of quarterly review and annual audit processes, provide support for other areas of finance, preparing statutory accounts and preparing the management accounts.
There will also be other ad-hoc technical review of external reporting requirements and analysis of the impacts thereof as well as process improvements.
