Production Accountant

A leading Commercial Company based in West London are currently recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager/Production Accountant on a permanent basis. In order to apply you MUST have experience within production finance.

You will be a Part Qualified/Qualified Accountant and your key responsibilities include:

• Budgets are prepared accurately and in a timely manner
• Monitoring actual performance vs. budgets on a monthly basis
• Identifying reasons for variances and reporting results to the Finance Manager
• Ensuring payments to freelancers comply with HMRC tax rules
• Working with the Finance Assistants to ensure supplier payment queries are resolved
• Ensuring that all contracted revenues are invoiced in accordance with payment schedules
• Supervising the work of the finance assistants and ensuring that they are adequately trained to carry out their responsibilities
• Producing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for Finance Manager
• Handling and interpreting requests from the external auditors

Person Specification

• Experience or an understanding of budgeting techniques and variance analysis
• Experience in providing finance support to non-finance colleagues
• Experience of working in a multi-national company
• Experience of using SAP
• Knowledge of HMRC tax rules
• Experience of managing junior staff
• Fully or part qualified (ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent
